fly-rod 8-10 feet long, 4-6 ozs. in weight, capable of casting a fly 60 feet, high honor.

Fly-fishing. Boys and lads: To take with the fly, unassisted, a 3-lb. trout or black bass, on a rod not more than 5 oz. in weight, honor. To take a 5-lb. trout or black bass or a 4-lb. landlocked salmon under the same conditions, high honor.

Men : To hook and land with the fly, unassisted, without net or gaff, a trout or landlocked salmon over 4 lbs., or a salmon over 12 lbs., honor. To take, under the same conditions, a salmon over 25 lbs., high honor.

General Fishing. Boys, lads, and men : To take on a rod, without assistance in hooking, playing, or landing, a trout, black bass, pike, muscallonge, grayling, salmon, bluefish, weakfish, striped bass, kingfish, sheepshead, or other game fish, whose weight in pounds equals or exceeds that of the rod in ounces, honor.

To take under the same conditions, a game fish that is double in pounds the ounces of the rod, high honor.

Indoor Fly-casting. Boys: To cast a fly with a rod of 5 oz. or less, not over 10 feet long, 40 feet, honor; 55 feet, high honor.

Lads: 65 feet, honor; 80 feet, high honor.

Men: 80 feet, honor; 95 feet, high honor.

With J4-0Z. dummy frog, 5-foot rod, indoors, overhead cast- ing, tournament style : Child class, 40 feet for honor; 50 feet for high honor Boy " 60 " " 70 " " Lad 80 " " 90 " " " Man 100 " 120 " " "

If out of doors add 10 per cent, to each of the distances, if cast is made with the wind.

If a wooden plug is used instead of the dummy-frog, add 30 per cent, to each distance.
