… which time their successors shall be elected. Vacancies in the National Council of Guidance occuring between annual meetings shall be filled in accordance with the By-laws of the League.

Each Field Council shall elect annually in May a representative who shall become thereby a member of the National Council of Guidance for the term of one year.

ARTICLE V – Officers.

The officers of the League shall consist of a President, a Chief, who may be known as Keeper of the Symbols and Manual, two or more Vice Presidents, a Treasurer, and a Secretary, who shall perform the duties usually assigned to such officers, and such duties as may be prescribed in the By-laws. These officers shall be elected by the National Council of Guidance from among their own number.

In addition the chairman of each Field Council shall be a Vice President of the Woodcraft League of America,Inc., ex officio, the Treasurer of each Field Council shall be an Assistant Treasurer of the Woodcraft League of America,Inc., ex officio.

Honorary officers may be elected by the National Council of Guidance to serve without compensation and without vote.

ARTICLE VI – Annual Meeting.

The Annual Meeting of the League shall be held during the last week of May at the principal office of the League er at such other place and at such day and hour as may be fixed by the National Council of Guidance. Twenty five members of the League present at any annual or other meeting of the League shall constitute a quorum to do business.

ARTICLE VII – Advisory Council.

The National Council of Guidance shall from time to time apooint men and women who shall constitute an Advisory Council to assist by their advise and influence the work of the League.

ARTICLE VIII – Amendments to the Constitution.

The Constitution may be amended by a four-fifths vote of the members present at any Annual Meeting provided notice of any proposed amendment together with a copy thereof shall be mailed to the members at least twenty days before the meeting.

ARTICLE IX – Field Councils.

The National Council of Guidance may from time to time create Field Councils which shall have such territorial jurisdiction and executive powers as the National Council of Guidance shall deem proper, all to be manifested in the form of a Charter which, subject to the approval of the National Council of Guidance, shall be renewable annually.
