The Torch of Service BE KIND: Do at least one act of unbargaining service each day. BE HELPFUL: Do your share of the work. BE JOYFUL: Seek the joy of being alive. The coup feather for the Torch of Service is yellow. Yellow is the color of corn and maize which was the staff of life to many Indians. The Indian symbol for the Torch of Service is the polly- wog, which, though onły the beginning of life, indicates great hope for the future. Full growth is attained by unselfishness, helpfulness, and a willingness to serve and grow. Helpfulness is the service way of Woodcraft.
