I found that when green it weighed 6S lbs. to the cubic foot and of course sank in water tike a stone. Called white from pale color of bark and wood. Leaves s to 9 inches long. Texas to Minnesota and easterly. Yellow Oak, Chestnut Oak, or Chinqoai^ Scrub Oak (Quercus Muhlenbergii)
